One of IEEE′s strategic goals is to become a model global organization. Therefore IEEE must understand the needs of worldwide community as seen by their perspective. There must be proper channels for participation. IEEE governance structure must adapt to the evolving demographics of our members, volunteers and IP contributors. IEEE must provide high quality services to all its members regardless of their location. As 2011 IEEE President I will lead the revision of the governance structure, increase the channels for equal participation of members globally and start a process to move some IEEE operational functions to staff located in different parts of the world.
