I am deeply honored to have been selected by the IEEE Board of Directors as a candidate for IEEE President in the election that will be held later this year (2012).

I have been an IEEE volunteer for almost 30 years, and throughout this time I have served in many leadership roles, including  President of  the IEEE Communications Society, the second largest technical Society in IEEE, Vice President for IEEE Technical Activities, IEEE Secretary, and presently I am serving as Chair of the IEEE Future Directions Committee.

In this web site you will find information about my achievements and qualifications as well as my ideas for IEEE's future.

I believe that leading-edge human-centric technology, programs and services that add value to members careers, and global diversity and community are essential elements that IEEE needs in order to remain the organization of choice for engineers and technologists into the next decade.
